29 September 2012

On Saturday 29 September 2012, is the day we went to museum Layang-Layang (kite) Indonesia, located in Jalan Haji Kamang-Fatmawati 12440 South Jakarta. This place is a museum of kite that has many information also experinces that we can learn about kite. In this day we went with Sekolah Bisa (located in Bintaro) to learn more about kite. there were 13 students from Sekolah bisa and 16 from Binus International School Simprug. First we have to depart in school before 8 o clock morning and pick the Sekolah Bisa students to go to museum together.

Each student will get a partner from Sekolah Bisa to know and spend time each other, like make some new friend!

It takes about 45 minutes to go to Museum Layang-Layang from Sekolah Bisa. After we arrived, We went to the main hall of Museum and each student including Binus School are going to make their own Kite.

Here in this picture above, he is a speaker or guide of the whole time in museum. He tought us how to make our own kite in easy way because we are still beginner. To make a kite, first we have to make a structure of kite using thin wood tied with strings like a big triangle (since they already make for us). Then stick it with a plastic papaer (thin and light) using white fox glue so that the kite can fly up in to the sky. Then leave about 2cm distance from kite and cut it. After that the remaining 2 cm paper fold and stick on the string. After that we can decorate whatwever we want. Easy!

The fun starts from here. Decoration~!!

After we make kite, we had this time listen to guide while we room around the museum and watch short movie about history and culturific kite from different parts of local and international country.

Of course we had short break while eating lunch. Then the last activity we had opportunities of try to fly our kites~!

Oops~!! Becareful! The trees or any high ostacle will distract you heheheh! Thanks to Binus students we got our kite back again.

We had lot of fun in Museum especially with Sekolah Bisa students. I hope we can have another opportunity to visit and spend time together in longer time. It was very excited and pleased to play with sekolah bisa students. At the last we take some pictures together and say good bye together. We will meet again soon~ Sekolah Bisa!!
